Management Information Systems UnitThe Management Information Systems Unit (M.I.S.) of the A.M.A. converts data from internal and external sources into information and communicates it in an appropriate form to all user departments to enable them to make timely and effective decisions for planning, directing, monitoring and control of activities or functions of the A.M.A.
The M.I.S. Unit is made up of two sections. These are the Data section and System Section. The Data Section
The System Development Section, headed by a Systems Analyst, is responsible for the development of new programmes and applications. It carries out system study into new areas of application originating from user departments and maintains old system programmes and applications.
The Management Information System Unit (M.I.S.) has the following functions to perform: Processing of data for day to day running of the Assembly, Providing Management of the Assembly at all levels with the appropriate information from all relevant sources to enable them make timely and effective decision for planning and controlling the activities for which they are responsible, and also to Provide technical support to other computer users in the Assembly in the field of Information Technology and Office Automation.
