The Mayor of Accra, Mohammed Adjei Sowah, has paid a working visit to the Accra Digital Centre (ADC) a subsidiary of Ghana Digital Centres Limited in Accra.
The ADC, is a 9000 square metre technology park designed to create a conducive ecosystem for digital innovation and entrepreneurship in the country to promote job creation and economic development for the youth.
The Mayor who was welcomed by Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, Managing Director of the Centre, visited the Mobile Applications Lab of the Centre (Ghana Tech Lab), where he toured the Creative Space, Training room, Maker Space, Co-working space and interacted with some trainees who shared their training experiences.
Mr. Nkansah noted that, the Centre hope to attract and retain ICT and ITES companies to promote entrepreneurship and digital job creation by providing an enabling environment for these ICT/ITES enterprises to thrive to accelerate economic growth, foster digital innovation and digital entrepreneurship development through business incubation and ICT research and development programmes.
"Our objective is to also provide relevant technology solutions to various sectors of the economy through partnership with the private sector, to cater for the country’ fast-changing ICT needs.
Located in the capital, Accra, the ADC serves as Business Process Outsourcing/Information Technology Enabled Service (BPO/ITES) Centre with a blend of infrastructure, support services and programs.
