The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost (COP), Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has paid tribute to the late mother of the Mayor of Accra, Hon Elizabeth Sackey, by signing the book of condolence.
Mr Nyamekye signed the book of condolence on Saturday at the official residence of the Mayor of Accra.
Apostle Nyamekye, in his message, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Church of Pentecost and himself for her unwavering commitment and dedication to Christ and the church. He commended her children for continuing her legacy of service to God and the church.
"We bless God for the life of commitment and dedication to Christ and to the Church of Pentecost. We bless God for your children, who have continued to serve God and the church. May your soul rest peacefully with the Lord. Amen".
The Mayor after the signing, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support and prayers from the Church of Pentecost and its chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.
According to her, she was grateful for the prayers and kind words, adding that the family would continue to uphold her legacy of service and devotion to God.
For the funeral arrangements, there will be no wake-keeping. Filing past will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the forecourt of the State House, Accra, starting at 7:00 AM.
The burial service will follow on the same day at 8:00 AM at the forecourt of the State House, Accra, and the interment will be a private burial on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
Final funeral rites will also be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the forecourt of the State House, Accra, with a Thanksgiving service to take place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Church of Pentecost, New Mamprobi, at 9:00 AM.
